CAMERA MAPPING

"Titanomachy" is an individual exercise completed in the Unity engine, aimed at animating a concept art using the camera mapping technique.

What is Camera Mapping?

In digital painting, illustrations are created by layering drawings. Camera mapping is an animation technique that uses these layers, placing them onto shapes within a 3D engine. A mobile virtual camera is used to capture the images, creating depth effects. 2D animated elements, such as snow, birds, or falling leaves, can be added to animate the environment. This technique is utilized in video games for loading screens, some trailers, concept art, and animatics like animated storyboards.
