Aporace is a project created in Unity, where each student was individually responsible for designing a post-apocalyptic universe to outfit a circuit (with a layout provided by the school) and a vehicle. The workload was considerable for a single person, given the limited time available.

Environment Design

I created numerous sketches based on the layout provided by the school, aiming to vary the elevation and offer a hidden alternate path. Although this was not required for the exercise, I wanted to exceed expectations to learn more, particularly about animations within the engine. The first version was quite narrative, with the circuit divided into scenes telling a story. However, I eventually streamlined the environment to ensure overall coherence and make it replayable.

Research

Vehicle

The vehicle was initially designed as an alien tourist vehicle visiting Earth after a nuclear apocalypse. Ultimately, I revised my references to propose a post-apocalyptic patched-up vehicle (inspired by Mad Max) to meet the expectations of the instructor overseeing the exercise.
